Only 3 days until Halloween!
Throughout the month of October I’ll be posting once a day with something to get you into the Halloween spirit, including movie and book reviews, real haunted places, occult topics and more. Come back each day and join in the fun!
I’ve always been a huge fan of the X-Files – even my phone’s default ringtone is the show’s theme song. One of the aspects of the series that appeals to me is the constant dynamic between belief and skepticism.
You can obviously see this played out on center stage between Mulder and Scully, who duked it out a number of times while investigating weird cases. The two brilliant minds would hash out what was real and what wasn’t often coming to wildly different conclusions when presented with the same collection of evidence.
With the snippets we’ve been given for the new X-Files episodes, it looks like that theme will be preserved, which makes me happy. This time around I’m not sure if Scully will continue to play the skeptic, but as you can see in the trailer below, Mulder is frustrated as he realizes that everything he believed in before might have been part of an elaborate lie.
Are you an X-Files fan?
Have you ever watched it at home without any lights on? (I have)
Leave a comment below and join in the Halloween fun! We still have 2 more posts to go this month, so come back and see what else I have in store.
